Amanda was born and raised in Lynchburg, VA. Growing up, she was always active with soccer,
swimming, dance, and enjoying the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and great trails nearby.
She attended VCU to pursue a degree in Health and Human Performance. It was through her studies of
exercise that she discovered her passion for nutrition and its ability to not only affect performance, but
prevent and manage disease.
After graduating from VCU, she completed an online program through the University of Alabama and received a degree in Food and Nutrition.
She completed her Dietetic Internship at VCU Health System. Amanda is a CDR Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist.
Amanda works in the community to promote nutrition through hands-on cooking experiences and tastings to expose individuals to healthy, fresh food. Amanda has followed a plant- based diet for the past 5 years, and is passionate about its benefits.
She enjoys finding new tasty recipes and experimenting in the kitchen. She loves talking about food and helping others to create an eating plan (NOT DIET) that suits their lifestyle with a focus on balance and moderation not restriction.
