Wes Smith, Registered Dietitian
Registered Dietitian Specialties
Digestive Health, IBS & FODMAP, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Post-GI Surgery, Weight Management & Preventive Nutrition
After working in the organ transplant field helping facilitate life after illness, I wanted to move to the prevention side of health. I went back to school to become a Registered Dietitian. I worked in the local hospital system for nearly a decade as an inpatient and outpatient dietitian and with a private practice learning all that I could. I previously obtained the Obesity and Weight Management Certification and am actively working towards the Functional Nutrition Certificate to better help clients. I have worked with a wide range of patients and I enjoy working with patients through GI issues from IBS and the FODMAP diet to Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease, post GI surgery, weight management, and even tube feeding. Moving even more into prevention, I left the hospital so my wife and I could start a farm. We grow and sell our own fruits and vegetables along with eggs and honey to help people access quality food to help prevent and reverse disease. Along with good food, I believe lifestyle is key. Reducing stress, getting good sleep and enjoying life is always a focus.
